Microsoft has a KB that talks about troubleshooting Visual Studio.NET installation, but that really not helpful in this context.
To Reolve this Issue, Please do the following
1. Go to Start Menu -> Run -> Installer
This will open the installer directory For You. Locate the .NET farmework beta 2 installer,
2. Right Click and Say Uninstall.
This will uninstall the ol frame work.
Now start the VSTS Installation,
Note:- If you install SQL Server 2005, Please uninstall it, as the framework with SQL server 2005 is different than ships with the Whidbey,
